About the movie:-

An online viral threat video from a man about a terrorist attack on an airplane leaves detective In-ho wanting to investigate further as he is worried the airplane might be the one his wife is travelling in to Hawaii. A fellow passenger Jae-hyuk is travelling to Hawaii as well for his daughter even though he has a phobia of airplanes and air travel. When a suspicious man and his terrorist attack turns out to be true, the passengers find themselves in grave danger when a few of them die from unknown reasons while onboard. The panic is not restricted to the airplane alone and now the people of South Korea are in fear. The Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Sook-hee, takes it upon herself and her team to bring back the airplane and its passengers safely back to their motherland all the while trying to figure out a way to keep the passengers safe from whatever it is that is attacking them on the flight. Will the passengers be able to return safely or is there a greater danger that is awaiting them?

The Actors, the Director and the Movie:-

The movie has managed to successfully unlock a new fear. I am not planning on dwelling in the thoughts of the attack on the airplane but I must tell you it was very scary to watch at first.

Yim Si-wan has proven once again what an impeccable and flawless actor he is. Even in the limited screen time he has managed to put on a brilliant performance. While in Summer Strike I had found him adorable and gentleman like, in Emergency Declaration he has scared the life out of me. He gave me the chills. Now every time I look at Yim Si-wan, I can't help but live in fear. With this movie he has proven again what an excellent actor he is. In one work he is innocent and in the other he is terrifying. Is there anything that Yim Si-wan cannot do? I watched this movie for him and I am extremely satisfied with his contribution.

Coming to the rest of the cast, Song Kang-ho as Gu In-ho, Lee Byung-hun as Park Jae-hyuk, Jeon Do-yeon as Kim Sook-hee, Kim Nam-gil as Choi Hyun-soo, Kim So-jun as Kim Hee-jin and Park Hae-joon as Park Tae-soo are flawless in their respective roles. They have proven that their experience and skills are unmatchable. Perfection just oozes out of them.

I have watched some great Airplane/Flight attack movies before. Emergency Declaration is a wonderful effort in that category. Han Jae-rim has managed to produce a good airplane attack movie with some amazing actors and acting.

Congratulations to the team on the great effort and production.
