More about the show:-
D.P. (acronym for Deserter Pursuit) has been one of the most talked about shows since the time of its release and for good reasons.
The show is set in a South Korean Military background. As the title suggests, the drama is about the little known department of the military, that is the Deserter Pursuits department.
Trigger warning for people who haven't watched the show, it is brutal, merciless, ruthless, raw and the language and scenes are bold and strong.
The show also has some funny elements, some moments that make us self-introspect, some moments very close to reality. Since the show is very short (6 episodes), talking more about it might reveal everything. I urge everyone to give this show a watch. You'll be missing out on a masterpiece of Korean dramas if you don't.
Though it is brutal, I have to say it is worth the watch for the hard work and the execution of the brilliant writing. It is phenomenal and I am anticipating what the next season has to offer.
Every actor is exceptional. We need to appreciate director Han Jun-hee for his courage to put something this brave out into the world. It's not easy to talk about reality this strong and raw and still have people admire your work.
The writer Kim Bo-tong has written an excellent piece of art. He has shown the viewers what real military life feels like. He has put reality into the screenplay.
The show features some incredible and talented list of actors.
This show is binge watch worthy and all the actors, the director, the supporting cast, the crew who worked so hard on bringing this show to us deserve recognition.
